Working across photography, moving image and installation, his research-led practice considers the relationship between people and place, focusing on how environments shape lived experience and inform the ways we represent and understand the world. Recent exhibitions include Changing States: Ireland in the 21st Century (Berlin) and Modern Nature at Cairde Arts Festival (Sligo). He has presented solo exhibitions at the Emile Mathis Art Gallery (Milwaukee, USA), RUA Red (Tallaght, Dublin), Belfast Exposed (Belfast) and Peckham 24 (London). In 2014, he was selected for Plat(t)form at Fotomuseum Winterthur (Switzerland). His work is held in public and private collections, including the Northern Ireland Arts Council. His practice has received sustained support from the Arts Council of Ireland. He lectures in photography at Griffith College, NCAD and DCU.
